These are the announcements made during 1st block, each morning. We try to update them on a daily basis, but sometimes events arise that prevent us from updating them.

LPPS is offering another Driver’s Ed class. Session B will be November 18th-November 26th, from 2:45-6:00, at WHS. The cost is $375.00 and students must be 15 years old by December 15th. Information packets can be picked up in the office.


Track tryouts will be begin on December 2nd, after school, at the Walker High School Track.  Any freshman student who is participating may ride any first load bus to the high school. The deadline to turn in a completed track packet is Monday, November 18th.



FCA club members will have the opportunity to participate in a service project on Saturday, November 23rd.  FCA will decorate doors of a nursing home for the holidays. See Mrs. Bernard or Mr. Brown for a permission slip. 



FCA will host an Ugly Holiday Sweater Dance on Friday, December 13th from 6-9pm in the WFHS auditorium.  The tickets are $3 and can be purchased online, before school in the gym on Tuesday or Thursday, or at FCA morning meetings on Monday or Wednesday.  All profits from the dance will be used to buy toys for the Livingston Parish Sheriff Toy Drive. You do not have to be an FCA member to attend, but only WFHS students are allowed.



Algebra tutoring will be tomorrow, after school, until 3:30. Please sign up by the end of the day today to attend.
